COMMUNICATING WITH YOURSELF

We all get to the point where we become hard on ourselves, we become critical of our every move, and we tend to highlight our flaws. I am creating this post to remind you to be kind to yourself and to communicate nicely with yourself. How you communicate with yourself affects how you communicate with others. Here are a few tips on ways to communicate with yourself more nicely.

  1.           Give yourself a pat on the back. Recognize your wins, say them out, write them out, and recognize what you have done well.
  2.       Say affirmations. Say kind words to yourself and boost your morale.
  3.       If you are not getting the results you want from a task, break down the task into manageable and achievable bits. Do not be too quick to criticize yourself.
  4.        Listen to your body. If your body says it is tired, rest. I know you want to achieve so much but remember you need to be healthy to do so.

When you practice communicating fairly to yourself, soon you will be able to:

1.      Recognize the wins of others and celebrate them.

2.      Say kind words to encourage and motivate others.

3.      Help others in identifying loopholes in their processes and inspire them to achieve outstanding results.

4.      Pay attention to other people’s body language.

Which of these tips will you apply in communicating with yourself?

Here are some quotes to inspire you

“Go above and beyond for yourself! You do it for family, friends, and colleagues, but don’t forget about YOU. It’s important to include yourself… You are worthy of your own kindness, too!”
― Stephanie Lahart

"You will never speak to anyone more than you speak to yourself in your head. Be kind to yourself". Unknown.
